Never a dull moment! I FLEW through Lisa Scottoline's book, and was completely enthralled, captivated, intrigued and entertained! The author artfully provided readers an actual snapshot of what the main character looked like in her reference to a well-known actor. I liked knowing exactly what Jason looked like, and it was easy to watch the scenes in the mind's eye. I couldn't imagine this seemingly random road incident fueling the entire story, but it did and was packed with action and drama and all kinds of mystery. The story within a story, within a story was unraveled at a slow and deliberate pace, but the elements of surprise kept on coming. A crime novel that shatters a suburban family's security and changes the future of everyone involved. There is loss, but the power of love turns regular guys into heroes and builds a bridge over the ashes of tragedy.
